Burgas: Nearly 2 kg of marijuana and hemp discovered in a home

In Burgas, the police found nearly two kilograms of marijuana and a hemp plant in the home of a man with a criminal record. The detainee has been held for 24 hours and the investigation continues.

In Burgas, the police found nearly two kilograms of marijuana and a cannabis plant in the home of a person with a criminal record.

On October 28th, around 10:00 AM, officers from the "Criminal Police" department at the Regional Directorate of the Ministry of Interior – Burgas and the Pomorie Police Department conducted a search of a private home. The residence, located on "Edelweiss" street in the Burgas neighborhood of "Gorno Ezerovo", is inhabited by a 43-year-old man from Burgas, known to the police for criminal activities and previous convictions.

During the search, nearly two kilograms of dry green plant matter, identified as marijuana, were found and seized. The narcotic substance was stored in various places on the property – in plastic buckets, a plastic box, and polyethylene bags. In addition, the police discovered a cannabis plant with an impressive height of about 160 centimeters.

The man from Burgas has been detained with a detention order for a period of up to 24 hours. Work on the case continues by officers from the "Criminal Police" department at the Regional Directorate of the Ministry of Interior – Burgas, in cooperation with representatives of the Fourth Police Department – Burgas. The investigation will likely focus on determining the origin of the drugs and potential links to other individuals.
