"Bulgargaz" offers a price for natural gas for May of 35.98 euros per megawatt-hour (MWh), excluding access fees, transmission, excise duty, and VAT. This is stated in a statement submitted by the company to the Commission for Energy and Water Regulation (EWRC), which must consider the price proposal. The statement has been published on the EWRC website.

BTA recalls that the EWRC approved a price for natural gas for April of 34.27 euros per megawatt-hour, excluding access fees, transmission, excise duty, and VAT. This means that the price offered by "Bulgargaz" for May is 4.99 percent higher.

The EWRC is to hold an open public discussion of the "Bulgargaz" statement, and then to make a final decision on the price of natural gas in May at a closed meeting.
