Students from the First English Language School and the 133rd Secondary School in Sofia won a prestigious second place in the National Space Society competition in the USA with their innovative FlorAstra concept.

A student team from Sofia achieved impressive success by placing second in the prestigious international Live in a Healthy Space Design Competition. The competition, organized by the National Space Society in the USA, brought together thousands of participants from all over the world.

What is the FlorAstra project?

The FlorAstra project ("Flowers of the Stars") is a large-scale concept for a space colony in orbit around the planet Ceres. Key highlights of the project include:

The success of the young talents

The team includes 12 students from the First English Language School and the 133rd Secondary School. It is important to note that the project was developed entirely without the help of artificial intelligence. This is another recognition of domestic scientific potential following the success of the Galanthus project in 2025.
