Historic victory for Bulgaria at the JET SKI WORLD CUP 2026
The waters of Didi Beach in the Burgas neighborhood of "Sarafovo" became an arena of global triumph. The Jet Ski World Championship – JET SKI WORLD CUP GRAND PRIX – Burgas 2026, concluded with unprecedented success for the Bulgarian team.
"Yordan Nikolov demonstrated complete superiority, recording three convincing victories in the three race heats," the championship organizers noted.
Dramatic turns and adrenaline on the track
The competition offered not only joy but also dramatic moments for Bulgarian fans:
- Yordan Nikolov: Deservedly climbed to the top of the podium, winning the first championship title for our country in the stock jet ski class.
- Iva Naydenova: The Bulgarian was one step away from the podium, but an incident in the final turn before the finish line deprived her of a medal in the women's category.
- Ivan Tenchev: Despite strong riding, a penalty for a missed buoy kept Tenchev away from the top three.
Who became the "King of Jet Skis"?
In the most attractive category – that of the most powerful machines – the Hungarian Gyorgy Kasa managed to prevail over the Thai Kasidis Theeraprateep. With this victory, he won the prestigious "King of Jet Skis" award, confirming the high level of the competitors in Burgas.
The event proved once again that Burgas is a key destination for large-scale international water sports, attracting the elite of jet ski disciplines from all over the world.
