International success for Bulgarian puppet art
The play "Draw Me a Person" by the State Puppet Theatre – Burgas returned with a prestigious international success from the International Summer Festival for Puppet Theatre and Family Audience Pimprléto 2026 in Ostrava, Czech Republic.
This is another recognition of the high level of Bulgarian puppet art and proof that talent has no language barriers.
Triumph before the European audience
The participation of the Burgas theatre was met with an exceptionally warm reception. During the festival, a total of three performances were presented, which were met with great interest from the audience:
- July 19 – two successful performances;
- July 20 – final performance on the stage of the City Theatre in Ostrava.
Actresses Desislava Mincheva-Todorova and Nikol Golemanova worthily upheld the prestige of Bulgarian culture, winning the well-deserved applause of the international audience.
New horizons for the State Puppet Theatre – Burgas
The success in the Czech Republic was not limited to the stage. During the forum, the directors of the theatre in Burgas and the City Theatre in Ostrava laid the foundation for a future partnership. The working meetings concluded with agreements for joint projects, which is a strategic step towards expanding the European presence of the Burgas troupe.
