The international culinary community applauds a Bulgarian master chef after his remarkable performance at a specialized gastronomic forum. On July 24, 2025, in the Spanish capital Madrid, Ivan Petrov received an exceptional distinction for the most innovative dish during the prestigious event Culinaria Innovata.
His culinary creation impressed the jury with a unique recipe that masterfully combines authentic Bulgarian ingredients such as Rhodope herbs, traditional kachamak, and roasted peppers with modern technological culinary methods. Low-temperature cooking and precise vacuum processing added additional sophistication to the dish.
In an interview after the ceremony, Petrov shared his vision to present Bulgarian national cuisine as modern and competitive on the international scene. The award he won ensures his participation in the next edition of the forum, which will be held in Tokyo in 2026, opening new horizons for promoting the native culinary art.
