The Ministry of Economy and Industry achieved a significant success with the inclusion of a Bulgarian project in the prestigious European register for strategic innovations. The project "BG EXERON X-BESS" was officially presented during a working meeting, led by Minister Petar Dilov and Deputy Minister Nevena Lazarova.
During the meeting with the executive director of the leading company Alexander Rangelov, the key parameters of the innovative development in the field of energy technologies were discussed. The project is among the six selected by the European Commission and has a strategic status according to the Net Zero Technology Development Regulation.
The "BG EXERON X-BESS" system is a high-tech solution for storing electrical energy in batteries, developed entirely based on a patented technology by International Power Supply AD. The production center will be located in the high-tech industrial park "Hemus" in the Kremikovtsi district, Sofia.
Minister Dilov emphasized the strategic importance of the project, noting its potential to position Bulgaria among the leading European manufacturers of eco-friendly technologies. "This is a step forward in our participation in the global energy transformation industry," he said during the presentation.
Expectations are that the project will generate at least 65 new jobs by the end of 2025, with 25% in research and engineering, and 60% as technical specialists. A key focus is on improving energy efficiency and supply security for the Bulgarian industry.
Production is planned to be officially launched this fall, which will consolidate Bulgaria's position as an innovative participant in the European clean technology market. The project fully meets the goals of expanding production capacities and creating sustainable supply chains.
The inclusion of "BG EXERON X-BESS" in the European Commission's public register is a recognition of the high potential of Bulgarian technological developments in the field of green energy.
