The National Diplomatic Service of Bulgaria celebrates its professional holiday today, which refers to the fateful 1879 year, when Prince Alexander I Battenberg laid the foundations of the foreign policy system with Decree No. 1.

For more than a century and a half, Bulgarian diplomatic representatives have worked consistently and purposefully on key national priorities. These include affirming state sovereignty, preserving territorial integrity, expanding international contacts, and protecting Bulgarian citizens abroad.

Professionals have achieved significant results through: integration into international organizations, building bilateral relations with countries from different continents, and establishing Bulgaria as a respected international partner.

On this festive day, special gratitude is extended to all diplomats who, with high professionalism, loyalty, and patriotic spirit, represent national interests, demonstrating dignity and honor.

A celebration that recalls the path traveled and pays tribute to those who serve Bulgarian statehood in the international arena!
