Lawyers Georgi Spasov and Dimitar Stoimenov, established arbitrators from the Arbitration Court at the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI), participated in a large-scale international educational program implemented in the People's Republic of China.
The training initiative brought together a total of 50 experts from 16 different countries who thoroughly analyzed contemporary challenges in international commercial law. The focus of the program was directed towards innovative approaches to resolving commercial disputes and alternative communication strategies.
During the two-week seminar, key thematic areas were examined, including the mechanisms of the World Trade Organization, diversified methods for overcoming international trade conflicts, and the specifics of the arbitration rules of the China International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission.
The Bulgarian representatives visited the International Organization for Trade Dispute Prevention and Conciliation, where they gained in-depth knowledge of preventive strategies and operational risk analysis in the field of storage and logistics.
The educational program included a large-scale research component with visits to the cities of Beijing, Guan'an, and Rizhao. During the visit, important professional contacts were established with local organizations and leading law firms, which expands opportunities for future international cooperation.
The implementation of the training became possible thanks to the kind assistance of the Embassy of the People's Republic of China in Sofia, which underscores the diplomatic support for such professional exchanges.
The participation of Bulgarian arbitrators in this large-scale international forum demonstrates the readiness of local legal experts to master modern practices and develop their professional competence in the field of alternative resolution of commercial disputes.
The event fits into the broader context of the "One Belt, One Road" initiative, which aims to deepen economic and legal cooperation between different countries.
