Digital Academic Almanac Unites the Bulgarian Scientific Elite
Over 1,100 Bulgarian lecturers and researchers from leading global universities have joined forces to support Bulgarian higher education. The initiative was officially launched in the auditorium of Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski".
"The goal is to build a sustainable cooperation network through which the experience and contacts of the lecturers can support science in Bulgaria," the Ministry of Education and Science noted.
Key highlights of the initiative:
- Global recognition: More than 210 of the participants work at universities in the top 60 of the Global 2000 ranking for 2026.
- International network: According to data from the "Neumorimite" (The Tireless) Foundation, over 3,000 Bulgarians are conducting scientific research abroad.
- Practical goals: Joint scientific projects, mentorship programs, and academic exchange between Bulgarian higher education institutions and their international partners.
The discussions were attended by Prof. Ilian Mihov (INSEAD), Assoc. Prof. Atanas Georgiev (Faculty of Economics and Business Administration at Sofia University), and numerous experts from Europe and North America.
