The prestigious Bulgarian Summer School launched its fifth edition in the capital of Albania. The large-scale educational program, which started on July 1, 2025, is being implemented at the Faculty of Foreign Languages of the University of Tirana.
The joint initiative is the result of collaborative efforts between the Department of Slavic and Balkan Languages and the St. Cyril and St. Methodius University of Veliko Tarnovo, supported by the diplomatic representation of Bulgaria in Albania.
The multidisciplinary program covers intensive Bulgarian language courses from A1 to B2 levels, complemented by modules dedicated to cultural-historical heritage and literary studies. The educational initiative will continue until July 25, 2025.
The academic exchange involves leading Bulgarian Bulgarian studies professors, accompanied by four students of Albanian studies. The main goal of the project is to strengthen inter-academic and intercultural ties between the two Balkan countries.
