The 70th anniversary of the iconic "Humor and Satire" program on the Bulgarian National Radio (BNR) is being marked with an exhibition that will showcase the work of talented caricaturists. These artists were born in Bulgaria or are descendants of Bulgarian emigrants who live and work in the Republic of Turkey.

Exhibition: A Look at Two Cultures

The exposition will be opened today, May 26th, in the Marble Lobby of BNR. The idea for this unique exhibition belongs to Halit Kurtulmuş – Aytoslu, an artist born in the city of Aitos and a graduate of the National Art High School "Dimitar Dobrovich" in Sliven.

Aytoslu now lives and works in Bursa. The project for the exhibition was conceived in 2025 during the humorous competition in Kubrat, where the "Humor and Satire" team of the "Hristo Botev" program participated as a co-organizer.

The "Humor and Satire" program, created in 1956, has always been a symbol of creative freedom and an important contribution to Bulgaria's cultural memory. Among its remarkable achievements are the first Bulgarian satirical buffo-opera „Tsar and Plumber“ and the festival of satirical and humorous song „Zlatniyat kos“.

The exposition will be available for viewing until June 12th. Don't miss this opportunity to enjoy the works of talented artists and celebrate the anniversary of a legendary program!
