A historic moment for music education
For the first time in its 105-year history, the National Music Academy (NMA) "Prof. Pancho Vladiguerov" is opening a territorial structure outside of Sofia. The new branch in Burgas will begin its operations in the 2026/2027 academic year.
Majors and admission
Training will be conducted in the professional field of "Music and Dance Art." Prospective students can choose from a wide range of bachelor's degree programs:
- Classical, pop, jazz, and folk singing
- Guitar (classical, pop, and jazz) and bass guitar
- Traditional instruments: kaval, gaida, gadulka, and tambura
- Extramural studies: "Folk Choreography" and "Ballet Art/Ballet Pedagogy"
The entrance exams will be held on June 27 and 28, 2026, at the halls of TriA Space Central Park in the city of Burgas.
Teaching staff
The educational process will be supported by distinguished professors from the NMA, including Prof. Dr. Masha Ilieva, Prof. Dr. Tsvetan Nedyalkov, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Rosen Balkanski, and other renowned names in the art of music.
Important information
The branch was established by a decree of the Council of Ministers, and for the first academic year, it is planned to train 25 students in both full-time and extramural forms of study.
