Bulgaria will present its stand at the London Book Fair with a focus on books about Bulgarian Antarctic explorers and the head of the Bulgarian Antarctic expeditions, Prof. Hristo Pimpirev, Gergana Dimitrova told BTA.
Within the framework of the event, the books by Prof. Hristo Pimpirev and Iglika Trifonova, “Antarctica - History, Nature, Bulgarian Polar Explorers” and by Iglika Trifonova, “Hristo Pimpirev. The Antarctic Hitchhiker” will be presented. The presentation will be attended by the General Director of BTA, Kiril Valchev, and the performer of kaval and composer Teodosiy Spasov.
Two issues of the BTA magazine LIK are also dedicated to Bulgarian Antarctic science, which will also be presented. Kiril Valchev will present all issues of the magazine LIK in English.
On March 10th, a conversation on the topic “Satire in Europe after 1989” will take place with the Bulgarian publisher Svetlozar Zhelev and the British journalist Rosie Goldsmith. Presentation of Hristo Pimpirev and Iglika Trifonova by Kiril Valchev, with the participation of Teodosiy Spasov.
On March 11th, there will be a presentation of the book “A Short Anthology of Contemporary Bulgarian Authors in the United Kingdom” by the compiler and editor Georgi Nikolov.
