A new era in air transport between Bulgaria and Mongolia
The Council of Ministers has taken a key step towards strengthening international ties by proposing that the National Assembly ratify an air transport agreement with the government of Mongolia. Currently, there are no direct scheduled or charter flights between the two countries due to the lack of a regulatory framework.
This agreement will remove administrative barriers for air carriers and foster economic cooperation.
What are the main advantages of the agreement?
- Full freedom of flights: Restrictions on routes, capacity, and frequency of operations are removed.
- Flexible pricing: Airlines will have greater operational independence.
- Cooperation: Opportunities for shared services and partnerships between carriers.
The government expects the new agreement to lead to significant growth in passenger and cargo traffic. The measure is also expected to significantly stimulate the development of the tourism sector, making Mongolia a more accessible destination for Bulgarians and vice versa.
