Assen Vassilev: It is time for an end to the current model of governance

During the consultations held with the President for the handing over of the first exploratory mandate, Assen Vassilev, leader of “We Continue the Change”, emphasized the need for a constructive approach and clear priorities for the state budget.

“The elections are over and the Bulgarian citizens have given a clear mandate and signal as to what we should expect as the first actions from the government,” declared Vassilev.

He expressed hope for “willingness to listen” on the part of “Progressive Bulgaria” and called for a correct interpretation of the voters' will. According to him, the first and most important signal from the citizens is categorical:

Vassilev emphasized that members of parliament should not be “more equal” than the rest, which is a key step towards normalizing the political environment in the country.
