An anthology of Burgas poets in Serbian, titled "Inner Sea. Contemporary Poetry from Burgas", has just been published. The publication is part of the European Literature library of the Belgrade publishing house "Alma".
The book was realized based on an idea and with the compilation of Milutin Djurickovic. He was a guest at the literary festival "Holy Word" in 2024.
The preparation of the collection was carried out in close collaboration with the poet Roza Boyanova, who is the organizer of the festival. The new anthology presents poems by 21 poets from Burgas. The preface is the work of the editor of the publication, Milutin Djurickovic.
In the collection, arranged alphabetically, readers will find works by Bina Kals, Vanyo Valchev, Georgi D. Georgiev, Diana Savateva, Donka Dimova, Elena Yaneva, Elka Vasileva, Ivan Nenkov, Zhivka Ivanova, Kalina Telyanova, Kerana Angelova, Loris Manuelian, Marin Marinov, Milka Stoyanova, Mina Krasteva, Natalia Nedyalkova, Nedyalko Yordanov, Roza Boyanova, Rosen Drumev, Svetla Guncheva and Tatiana Yotova. The translations are by Elizabeta Georgieva, Natasha Panic, Safeta Osmichich and Suncica Radulovic-Torbica. A photo from St. Anastasia Island, located near Burgas, is used on the cover.
The compiler of the anthology, Milutin Djurickovic, was born on July 1, 1967, in Decani, then part of Yugoslavia. He graduated from the Department of Yugoslav Literature at the Faculty of Philology in Pristina and holds a master's degree. He received his doctorate from the Faculty of Philosophy in East Sarajevo, in the field of children's literature. Djurickovic is a poet and author of prose for children and adults, a journalist and literary critic. He is a member of the Association of Writers of Serbia, the Association of Journalists of Serbia, the Association of Dramatists of Serbia and the European Academy of Science and Art. Djurickovic is the founder and director of the Institute for Children's Literature. His works have been translated into 55 languages. He is the recipient of numerous literary awards both in his homeland and around the world. He has published and edited 67 books of various genres for children and adults. Milutin Djurickovic lives and works in Belgrade.
