Andrey Gyurov to Participate in Informal EU Leaders' Meeting in Cyprus

Caretaker Prime Minister Andrey Gyurov will participate in the EU leaders' meeting in Cyprus, where geopolitical issues, energy prices, the Multiannual Financial Framework, and meetings with Zelensky and other leaders will be discussed.

Caretaker Prime Minister Andrey Gyurov will participate in the informal meeting of heads of state and government of the member states of the European Union (EU), which will be held on April 23-24 in Cyprus. This was announced by the government press service.

Within the framework of the meeting, the conflict in Iran and the situation in the Middle East will be discussed, including the impact of the geopolitical situation on the prices of fossil fuels and energy. Another topic of discussion will be the Multiannual Financial Framework of the EU for the period 2028-2034, as well as the roadmap “One Europe, One Market” in support of European competitiveness.

Within the framework of the forum in Cyprus, a meeting will be held with the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky, as well as a meeting with representatives of Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, Syria and the Chairman of the Gulf Cooperation Council.

On Wednesday, the caretaker government approved Bulgaria's position for participation in the informal meeting of heads of state and government of the member states of the European Union.
