BLU insists on urgent dialogue at the highest level
The Bulgarian Medical Union (BLU) has officially requested a meeting with Prime Minister Rumen Radev and Deputy Prime Minister Galab Donev. The reason for the request is the escalating tension in the healthcare sector and the need for adequate measures to stabilize it.
The professional organization emphasizes that it is high time for an institutional dialogue that can offer expert solutions to the system's biggest challenges.
Main demands of the doctors:
- Organizing a broad expert round table with the participation of state institutions, parliamentary groups, and professional organizations.
- Conducting an in-depth debate on legislative proposals related to cost control and the fight against corruption.
- Discussing amendments to the Public Procurement Act and the Medicinal Products Act.
The BLU advocates for transparency and expertise in decision-making regarding drug policy and the functioning of hospital care.
