The Sofia District Court issued a decisive sentence against the popular Bulgarian actor Dimo Alexiev, imposing a sentence of one year and six months in prison with a general regime. The court decision is related to a crime qualified as driving under the influence during a probation period.
The court press center clarified that the total sentence will be reduced by the period of detention and house arrest. Additionally, Alexiev was banned from driving a motor vehicle for two years and ordered to pay compensation of 7,500 leva, representing the value of the car used in the violation.
Three months from a previous judicial sanction from 2022 will be added to the current sentence. It is important to note that the court decision has not yet entered into legal force and can be appealed by the defense.
