A total of 95 fires were extinguished in the country in the last 24 hours. There were no fatalities or injuries, the General Directorate "Fire Safety and Population Protection" announced on its website.
Firefighters responded to 135 incident reports.
24 fires resulted in direct material damage, including: 13 in residential buildings, two in auxiliary, temporary or makeshift structures, five in vehicles, one in outdoor facilities, and three others.
71 fires occurred without material damage, including: four in dry grass, forest litter and bushes, 31 in waste, 30 in cooking appliances and chimneys, and six others.
36 rescue operations and support operations were carried out, including: one in connection with traffic accidents, 35 technical assistance (providing assistance to other Ministry of Interior structures - three, removing dangerous objects - 19, assisting citizens - 2, assisting other structures and departments - 7, other - 4).
There were four false calls.
BTA recalls that a fire in an elevator last night in a building in the capital's "Suha Reka" district led to the evacuation of 20 people.
