Honoring the victims at the "Earth and Man" Museum
Today, the National Museum "Earth and Man" marks the 81st anniversary of the atomic bombing of Hiroshima. The event, which has become a tradition, is held under the motto "Day of Mercy".
"The Stone of Peace" – a piece of granite from the Aioi Bridge, was located only 200 meters from the epicenter of the blast in 1945.
Visitors can see the relic in the "Giant Crystals" hall. The program also includes a concert by pianist Matey Videnov, a laureate of the Yordan Kamdzhalov Foundation.
The tragedy of August 6, 1945
The atomic bomb "Little Boy", dropped by the American bomber "Enola Gay", claimed the lives of nearly 140,000 people. Today, the world marks Hiroshima Day – a symbol of the fight for the banning of nuclear weapons.

The topic of nuclear threat is more relevant than ever. The "Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists" moved the hands of the "Doomsday Clock" to 85 seconds to midnight.
