In the past 24 hours, 74 fires were extinguished in the country, with no casualties or injuries, according to a statement from the General Directorate “Fire Safety and Protection of the Population”.
Firefighters responded to 109 incident reports between 00:00 and 24:00 on March 23rd.
A total of 19 fires caused direct material damage, of which:
- 7 in residential buildings
- 1 in an industrial building
- 6 in vehicles
- 4 in outdoor facilities
55 fires occurred without causing material damage, of which:
- 13 in dry grass, forest litter and shrubs
- 26 in waste
- 11 in cooking appliances and chimneys
28 rescue operations and support operations were carried out, including 5 in accidents.
7 false calls were registered.
