Over 500 measles cases in Bulgaria: Current statistics

From the beginning of the year to the end of July, 502 cases of measles have been registered in the country across 11 regions. The incidence is highest in the Vratsa region (238 cases), followed by Pleven (158) and Lovech (77). Data from the Ministry of Health show that 415 of the patients are children.

For the period January - July 2025, over 56,000 vaccines against measles, mumps, and rubella have been administered in an attempt to control the spread.
