Fire brigade activity over the past 24 hours
A total of 42 fires were successfully extinguished in the country over the past 24 hours, reported the General Directorate of Fire Safety and Civil Protection (GDFSCP) at the Ministry of Interior. As of 6:00 a.m. this morning, information confirms that there were no fatalities or injuries to citizens during the incidents.
For the period from 00:00 to 24:00 on May 13, the teams responded to a total of 108 incident reports.
Distribution of incidents:
- 14 fires with direct material damage: Of these, 3 were in residential buildings, 1 in an industrial building, 1 in an auxiliary structure, 3 in vehicles, and 1 in an outdoor facility.
- 28 fires without material damage: Handled reports that did not result in destruction.
- 64 rescue operations: Including assistance during three road accidents.
Two false alarms were also recorded, which occupied the teams unnecessarily. The GDFSCP continues to remind the public to strictly follow fire safety rules at home and in public places.
