The Ministry of Internal Affairs published alarming information about the road traffic situation in the country, which reveals serious challenges to national security and road safety.

According to official statistical data for the past 24 hours, a total of 23 traffic incidents were registered, in which one person lost their life, and 28 people received injuries of varying severity.

The highest concentration of road accidents was recorded in the capital, where 19 incidents occurred with three people injured. The fortunate circumstance is that there were no registered fatalities in Sofia.

The cumulative statistics for the month show extremely worrying trends - a total of 216 accidents with the tragic consequences of 11 human lives and 277 injured.

These data unambiguously emphasize the need to strengthen preventive measures, improve road infrastructure, and increase the overall transport culture among drivers.

Experts from the Ministry of Internal Affairs continue to analyze the reasons for the high number of road incidents and are working on strategies to reduce them.
