A total of 104 fires were extinguished in the country over the past 24 hours, and firefighters responded to 134 calls for incidents, according to the website of the General Directorate “Fire Safety and Protection of the Population”.
An 83-year-old man has burns on his face and hands after a fire in a house in the village of Osenovo, Aksakovo municipality, Varna region. The cause of the fire was negligence while working outdoors with a gas burner.
34 fires occurred with direct material damage, of which: 20 in residential buildings, one in industrial buildings, three in auxiliary, temporary or makeshift buildings, nine in vehicles, one - other.
70 fires occurred without material damage, of which: 26 in dry grass, forest litter and shrubs, 30 in waste, 11 in cooking appliances and chimneys, three others.
