10 forest fires contained in 24 hours: High temperatures and bans

Forestry officials have extinguished 10 fires across the country. A ban on mowing and lighting fires has been introduced due to the risk of the flames spreading.

Active firefighting efforts in the country

Over the past 24 hours, teams from the Executive Forest Agency and state forestry and hunting enterprises dealt with 10 fires in various regions of Bulgaria. Firefighters and forestry officials managed to completely extinguish the blazes in the areas of Zlatograd, Alabak, Varna, and near the village of Malka Zhelyazna.

Work on the fire near the Pazardzhik State Forestry, in the vicinity of the Trakia motorway, is still ongoing.
