Kyrylo Budanov, head of the Main Intelligence Directorate, revealed shocking details about the fate of specialized navigation system creators. According to his words, two Ukrainian specialists are responsible for developing innovative CRPA antennas, which are currently used by Russian drones.
The technology, created in the early 2000s, initially did not cause serious interest. One of the engineers moved to Russia, continuing his work on improving the system. Currently, the antennas have been developed to a 16-channel format, which significantly improves navigation capabilities.
Controlled Reception Pattern Antenna (CRPA) is an extremely sophisticated type of GNSS antenna that ensures stable navigation even during intensive radio-electronic interference. This technology dramatically increases the effectiveness of combat drones like Shahed, making them more resistant to counteraction from Ukrainian air defense systems.
Budanov reveals a tragic detail - one of the antenna creators has died under unclear circumstances. According to his words, the second engineer is still alive, but his existence may be threatened. The statement hints at possible hidden operations and dramatic consequences of technological betrayal.
