The Road Infrastructure Agency announces the completion of asphalt works on the section of the Trakia Motorway in Pazardzhik region. Repair activities continue on sections from Sofia to Burgas, with temporary restrictions and traffic organization being introduced.

The repair activities on the Trakia Motorway in the Pazardzhik and Sliven regions are entering their final stage. The Road Infrastructure Agency informs that from 2 pm on June 13, traffic on the motorway will be two-way on the repaired lane towards Burgas in the section of Pazardzhik region.

Currently, traffic is diverted to the renovated lane towards Sofia, but movement on it will be restricted for the application of road markings. The repair of the section in Pazardzhik region started on May 22 on the lane towards Sofia, and from June 3 the work continued on the lane towards Burgas.

In Sofia region, in the section from km 11 to km 23 of the motorway, curbs and linear drainage are currently being installed, and embankments are being filled, with binder and wearing asphalt layer being laid. Traffic here is completely restricted on the lane towards Burgas, with traffic flowing two-way on the lane towards Sofia.

In Sliven region, activities continue on the 10-kilometer section between km 241 and km 251 in the direction of Burgas. Here, a geogrid, asphalt layers, and concrete curbs are being laid, with traffic flowing two-way on the lane towards Sofia.

The Road Infrastructure Agency calls on drivers to exercise increased caution, to comply with the temporary traffic organization and road signage. During heavier traffic, at the end of the work week and on weekends, slower movement in a column in the repair sections is possible. Then, at the discretion of the Traffic Police, additional measures may be introduced to facilitate traffic flow.

Citizens can get up-to-date information on the road situation from the RIA website or by calling 0700 130 20. The Agency apologizes for the inconvenience, but stresses that the repair activities are necessary to ensure the safety and comfort of travelers.
