On June 27, 2025 at 11 o'clock in the "Petya Dubarova" hall of the Cultural Center "Marine Casino" Burgas, there will be a solemn ceremony for awarding prizes to distinguished young authors in the Twelfth Edition of the International Literary Contest "Art Against Drugs". The event will be opened by the Regional Governor of Burgas Region, Mr. Vladimir Krumov.
The contest has been organized since 2005 by the "Lyuben Karavelov 1940" Community Center in Burgas, in partnership with the Syndicate of Bulgarian Teachers Burgas and with the assistance of the Municipal Council on Narcotic Substances at the Burgas Municipality. This year, 84 authors from Germany, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, and various cities in Bulgaria participated. The literary works were evaluated by a jury consisting of: Roza Boyanova, Nikolay Fenerski, and Slavi Tomov.
In addition to first, second, and third prizes for poetry and prose in two age groups, the jury of the twelfth edition also determined 6 additional nominations. The prize fund is secured through donations from business and state organizations, associations, and foundations, including "Lukoil Neftokhim Burgas" AD, "Remontstroi" AD, "Forum Trans" OOD, "Sunny Beach" AD, Tawfik El Masri Foundation, and others.
