Police operation against driving under the influence of drugs on the Burgas-Varna road

On May 22 this year, around 1:05 pm, employees of the Nesebar Regional Police Department stopped for inspection a Lexus passenger car with Burgas registration, traveling on the Burgas - Varna road, at kilometer 210. The car was driven by a 54-year-old man from Aytos.

During the inspection, the police officers found that the driver of the car had driven after the use of narcotic substances, specifically - cocaine. As a result, the 54-year-old Aytosian was detained by a police order for a period of up to 24 hours, and the car he was driving was seized.

A fast-track procedure has been initiated in the case. This is another action by the law enforcement authorities aimed at driving under the influence of drugs, which poses a serious threat to the safety of the road and the lives of road users.
