Police operation against drug trafficking in the capital - four persons detained, nearly 1.5 kg of drugs confiscated

A police operation against drug trafficking in the capital led to the confiscation of nearly 1.5 kilograms of narcotic substances and the arrest of four people. The operation by the "Drugs" sector of the Sofia Metropolitan Directorate of Internal Affairs began after receiving operational information about a dealer operating in Sofia.

On June 10, a 46-year-old client was arrested after a marijuana sale. Subsequently, a 39-year-old drug dealer with a criminal record for similar crimes was also identified. He and two other men were arrested in his apartment, where the police found and confiscated marijuana, cocaine, amphetamine, synthetic cannabinoid, methamphetamine, ecstasy, an electronic scale, vacuum machines, red phosphorus, and over 8,000 leva.

The total amount of discovered narcotic substances amounts to nearly 1.5 kilograms. The four arrested men were detained with a police measure for a period of up to 24 hours. The materials on the case have been reported to the Sofia City Prosecutor's Office, and the 39-year-old dealer has been charged under Article 354 of the Criminal Code and has been imposed a measure of "detention" for a period of up to 72 hours.
