Young farmers receive additional financial support for 2024.

By order of the Minister of Agriculture and Food, the amount of the payment for the intervention for additional income support for young farmers for the 2024 campaign has been determined. The amount of the payment per eligible hectare is 219.51 BGN/ha.

The aid is provided for the entire eligible area of the agricultural holding under the "Basic Income Support for Sustainability" (BISS) intervention, for a period of up to 5 years, starting from the first year of submitting the payment application.

Additional income support for young farmers is available to persons who have started agricultural activity in the last 5 years and are not more than 40 years old at the time of submitting the aid application. They must have professional skills in the field of agriculture and/or veterinary medicine, and/or economic education with an agricultural focus.
