Criminal offenses and road accidents in Burgas - full report for the day

In the last 24 hours, on the territory of ODMVR - Burgas, one theft, two traffic accidents (RTA) were registered and 20 crimes were solved.

First, officers from the Second Police Station - Burgas identified and detained a 42-year-old Burgas resident, with a criminal record and convictions, who committed a theft of two investment gold coins with a total weight of 14 grams worth about 2,500 leva from an unlocked Volkswagen Golf car in the area of Dame Gruev Street in Burgas. The detainee made full confessions.

Officers from the First Police Station - Burgas identified and detained five Burgas residents aged 17 to 25 with a criminal record, who stole copper items used to clad the parapet of the roof of the State Opera - Burgas building, as well as metal gutters and window fittings from the roof of the building. Part of the stolen items were found and seized.

On May 29 around 10:26 pm, officers from the Fifth Police Station - Burgas stopped for inspection a Burgas-registered Ford Galaxy car, driven by a 45-year-old Burgas resident, and found that he was driving under the influence of drugs - cannabis, amphetamine and methamphetamine. The driver refused to provide blood and urine samples for chemical analysis and was detained for up to 24 hours, and the vehicle was seized.

Officers from the Second Police Station - Burgas detained a 35-year-old man with a criminal record and convictions from the village of Gradets, Kotlenska, who committed a theft of about 400 liters of diesel fuel from the tank of a Burgas-registered DAF truck parked in Bylarovo on May 12/13. The detainee made full confessions.

On May 28, the First Police Station - Burgas received a report of the unlawful seizure of a Burgas-registered BMW X5 used by a 76-year-old Burgas resident, taken from 40 Morska Street on May 27/28. As a result of quick joint police actions, the vehicle was found on the territory of Yambol, and the perpetrator, a 26-year-old man with a criminal record from Varna, was detained.

As for the traffic accidents, on May 29 around 12:42 pm on the Trakia Motorway, km 323.800 in the direction of Burgas, in the area of the Karnobat junction, a Kardzhali-registered Kia Ceed car driven by a 53-year-old man from Kardzhali was involved in a single-vehicle accident. The driver's passenger and wife, a 50-year-old woman from Kardzhali, as well as their two daughters, aged 23 and 14, suffered minor injuries in the RTA.

On May 29 around 2:36 pm, in the local traffic lane towards St. Vlasiy Street in Sveti Vlas, a 10-year-old Ukrainian child with temporary protection, living in Sveti Vlas, suddenly entered the roadway, causing a traffic incident with a Burgas-registered Skoda Superb car driven by a 42-year-old Russian citizen residing in Bulgaria. The child was admitted to the University Hospital - Burgas for observation with a concussion, without danger to life.
