Cholesterol, although perceived as harmful, is actually a vital molecule without which the brain, hormonal balance, and cellular defense cannot function. Although associated with fats, cholesterol has nothing to do with the development of cellulite or obesity, and performs many useful functions in the body.

Cholesterol, although often the subject of criticism and campaigns for a healthy lifestyle, is actually a molecule with a key role in the normal functioning of the organism. Although the level of cholesterol in the blood is perceived as a universal indicator of health, and its reduction is a primary goal, the topic continues to provoke scientific debates.

Cholesterol actually has nothing to do with fats - it is an alcohol and should properly be called cholesterol. Nevertheless, the term "cholesterol" has become firmly established, and this molecule is associated with "bad" and "harmful" fats, which does not correspond to the truth. Cholesterol has many useful and vital functions in the body, including for the normal functioning of the brain, hormonal balance, and cell protection.

Unlike plants, in animals cholesterol is indispensable, since without it the animal cell cannot exist. So the labels "cholesterol-free" on plant products are completely meaningless - plants simply do not contain this molecule, but it is vital for animals.

That is why the topic of the role of cholesterol continues to provoke scientific debates - although it is perceived as harmful, it actually fulfills many important functions in the body and is indispensable for its normal functioning.
