The Burgas Opera presents Verdi's "Il Trovatore" - a stellar performance of the classic tragic opera.

On June 5, Thursday, at 7 pm, the State Opera - Burgas will present Verdi's masterpiece "Il Trovatore". This popular opera will tell the story of the troubadour Manrico, his mother - the gypsy Azucena, the lovestruck Leonora, the powerful Count di Luna, and the other characters, whose fates are intertwined in a sad tale of love, sin, and redemption.

The artistic cast is excellent. In the role of the troubadour Manrico, we will see Valery Georgiev, a soloist at the State Opera - Varna and the Burgas Opera. Maria Tsvetkova-Madjarova, who made a brilliant debut in the role, will portray Leonora. The young baritone Andrey Yurkovsky, a soloist at the Burgas Opera, will make his debut in the role of Count di Luna. Daniela Dyakova will take on the role of Azucena - a crown role for her magnificent mezzo-soprano.

The conductor of the performance will be Ivan Kozhuharov, and the director Ivan Savov will present a semiotic set design and costumes in the spirit of the era. The Choir and Ballet of the State Opera - Burgas will participate in the grand performance.

On August 2, the opera "Il Trovatore" will also be performed at the "Opera on the Sanctuary" festival 2025 in Beglik Tash, organized for the sixth time by the State Opera - Burgas and the Municipality of Primorsko.
