Burgas marks World Environment Day with a diverse program of initiatives

The upcoming initiatives of the Burgas Municipality on the occasion of World Environment Day on June 5, 2025 will start with the opening of the exhibition "The Future I Want for You and Me" on June 2. The exhibition will present works by participants and laureates in the National Poster Competition with the support of Humana People to People Bulgaria.

On June 3, the Yettel Recycler - an interactive educational installation for recycling electronic waste - will be presented. Also, the winners who have delivered the most waste to the Mobile Centers of the Burgas Municipality in 2024 will be awarded.

The "Clean Today - Green Tomorrow" action on June 5 will include cleaning up polluted areas in the "Nativity of the Mother of God" park with the participation of students and local residents. Demonstrations of good practices for separate collection of bio-waste are planned on the same day in the Dolno Ezerovo neighborhood.

The eco-initiative "Green Environment" on June 5 will focus on the improvement of the plant waste site in the Dolno Ezerovo neighborhood through the planting of low-growing vegetation. The goal of all these events is to encourage sustainable behavior, raise awareness of environmental challenges, and engage citizens in nature conservation.
