The meeting, organized by the Council of Sectoral Organizations at the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, was dedicated to the upcoming procedures for two operational programs managed by the Ministry of Innovation and Growth - "Competitiveness and Innovation in Enterprises" (PKIP) and "Research, Innovation and Digitalization for Smart Transformation" (PNIIDIT). The forum attracted over 100 representatives of companies, industry organizations, academic circles and regional chambers.
Iliana Ilieva, Director General of the Directorate General "European Funds for Competitiveness" at the Ministry of Innovation and Growth, emphasized that by the end of the year there will be over 20 procedures under the two programs for more than 1 billion BGN. The focus is on supporting micro, small and medium-sized enterprises, including in the field of digitalization, energy efficiency and the introduction of Industry 4.0 technologies.
Albena Meracheva, Deputy Director and Head of the PKIP Sector at the Ministry of Innovation and Growth, presented the specific procedures that will be announced by the end of 2022. These include measures to encourage investment in modern ICT, improve energy efficiency and use of renewable sources, as well as support for the implementation of innovations in enterprises located in local initiative groups (LAGs) and in the northern regions of the country.
Lora Iosifova, Head of the PNIIDIT Sector in the Directorate General "European Funds for Competitiveness", presented procedures under the PNIIDIT program aimed at developing innovative clusters, providing small innovative grants for SMEs, green and digital partnerships, as well as programs for cooperation between businesses and scientific organizations.
The meeting was assessed as extremely useful by the business representatives, as it provided them with detailed information about the upcoming funding opportunities, which will facilitate and motivate them in the project application process.
