A crucial working meeting for the Bulgarian mechanical engineering industry took place at the headquarters of the Ministry of Innovation and Growth. Vice Prime Minister Tomislav Donchev initiated an expert dialogue with the leadership of the Bulgarian Branch Chamber of Mechanical Engineering, focused on the strategic future of the sector.
The main discussion points covered the potential for integration of mechanical engineering enterprises in defense industry projects. Experts examined the opportunities for technological modernization through high-tech production solutions.
Among the priority topics were mechanisms for financial stimulation of the industry. The presented proposals included targeted support for research activities, new compensation schemes for electricity costs, and strategies for expanding market positions.
The Chamber presented specific proposals for improving the regulatory environment and strengthening import control. A key emphasis was the need for more active communication and promotion of sectoral achievements.
"We must demonstrate the modern face of the industry to the younger generation," Donchev stated. He emphasized the importance of transparency and openness of production enterprises as a mechanism for attracting young talents.
