Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski" is organizing an Open House Day at the Faculty of Pedagogy at the Burgas Branch on May 29. The event will include a public lecture on the role and necessary skills of the modern school principal, presentation of master's programs in educational management and non-formal education management, as well as numerous qualification courses for educators and managers.

On May 29, Wednesday, at 5:00 pm, the Faculty of Pedagogy of Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski" will organize an Open House Day at its Burgas Branch, located in the National Palace of Culture. The event will start with a public lecture on the topic "The Modern Principal - Challenges and Competencies" by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Yonka Parvanova, a leading lecturer and researcher in educational management.

The lecture will examine the current challenges facing leaders in the education system and the necessary competencies for them. The topic is aimed at principals, educators, and anyone seeking a deeper understanding of leadership in education today.

Further in the program, the two master's programs conducted at the Burgas Branch of Sofia University will be presented. The first, "Educational Management," prepares professional managers of teams, groups, and organizations in the system of preschool and school education. It is the successor to the inter-university project "Interaula" for the creation of the first master's programs in educational management in Bulgaria.

The second program, "Management of Services and Organizations for Non-formal Education," focuses on the management of educational and social projects and develops skills for working in a dynamic environment outside of formal education.

In addition to the master's programs, numerous short-term qualification courses for educators and leaders will also be presented, including: Leadership in Education, Project-based Approaches, Design of Learning Ecosystems, Academic Writing, Non-formal Education, Formative Assessment, Teacher Profile, School for Parents, and more.

During the Open House Day, participants will have the opportunity to meet with the program faculty and receive detailed information about the content, format of training, and career opportunities after graduation. The event will also provide an open discussion with the audience.

The event will take place on May 29, Wednesday, at 5:00 pm at the Burgas Branch, National Palace of Culture. The organizers expect all interested leaders, educators, and specialists in the field of education.
