"Kalata", a festival of comedy and laughter, returns to Burgas for a second year from 12 to 15 November. This year it focuses on women in Bulgarian comedy, Burgas council said. All events are free.
The organisers released the first details of the programme on Tuesday.

The four-day festival will have theatre and stand-up for children and adults. It marks 100 years since the birth of actor Georgi Kaloyanchev, who was born in Burgas. The organisers want to show different forms of comedy.
Shows about women include "Nice to Meet You, Iva" by Iva Todorova and "The Worst Is Yet to Come" by Elisaveta Belobradova. Militsa Gladnishka, Snezhina Petrova and Galya Petkova star in "Women's Kingdom".
Events will take place on three stages. The one-person shows are at the Youth International Centre in the Meden Rudnik complex, and the stand-up is at the NHK Culture House.
The Adriana Budevska Drama Theatre will host a children's show and a comedy. The children's show is "Aladdin and the Magic Lamp" by Dimitar Todorov, while the Bulgarian Army Theatre brings the comedy "Step by Step".
The festival's creative director, Nikolay Urumov, is an actor and a producer of the films "Petya of My Petya" and "Women Out of Use".
The organisers say the festival brings together different generations and genres, and links the traditions of Bulgarian comedy with modern stage humour.
Burgas council pays for the festival. "Kalata" also backs the city's bid to be European Capital of Culture in 2032.
