The official awards ceremony for the most successful athletes of Burgas will take place at the end of January, the municipal administration announced to BTA. The event will be hosted by students from the branch of the National Academy for Theatre and Film Arts (NATFA) in Burgas.

This year, Burgas Municipality will also recognize the most successful athletes and their coaches in several main categories - “Athlete and Coach of the Year”, “Young Talent”, “Team of the Year” and “Athlete with Disabilities”.

According to the approved regulations, sports clubs have the right to submit their nominations on a sample form, nominating outstanding competitors or teams with prize rankings during the year. Each club can nominate participants in the different categories at its discretion, depending on its structure and activity, the Municipality announced. 

The “Sport” department of the administration has already accepted the questionnaire proposals received from the sports clubs and has provided them on time to the members of the Permanent Commission on Social Activities for consideration and completion.
