Burgas Municipality supports education by providing free access to the "Buki" platform for all schools. The platform offers interactive resources and programs for developing key skills, fostering the learning process.

Burgas joins the ranks of visionary municipalities supporting Bulgarian education. This school year, the city provides free access to the "Buki" platform for all schools in its territory. This decision gives teachers and students in the region the opportunity to take advantage of modern educational resources that aim to develop key skills needed for the future and make the learning process more engaging and practical.

The "Buki" platform has been assisting teachers in preparing and conducting interesting and practice-oriented lessons for two years now. It offers over nine hundred hours of interactive content, grouped into thirty programs covering topics such as financial literacy, digital sciences, green technologies, and accelerated learning. These areas often remain outside the scope of standard curricula but are essential for the personal and professional development of young people.

The "Buki" programs include visual materials, exercises, missions, and projects that encourage students to apply their knowledge in a real context. At the same time, teachers receive ready-made resources such as methodological guidelines, presentations, and working files, which facilitate preparation and enable higher quality and motivating teaching.

"The financial support of Burgas Municipality shows a commitment to modernizing the learning process and creating conditions for equal access to quality educational resources", notes Violeta Nedeva, Director of "Business Development" at "Buki" and the "Telerik Academy" Foundation. "This allows teachers and students to work with materials that support the development of key competencies for the modern world. With this gesture, Burgas Municipality gives equal opportunities to all students in its territory – regardless of whether they study in a large school in the center or in a smaller settlement, to develop critical thinking, digital competencies, teamwork skills, and a desire for lifelong learning. This is an investment not only in today's students but also in the future of the entire community".

The initiative is also supported by the municipalities of Stara Zagora, Kyustendil, Haskovo, Blagoevgrad, and Yambol, demonstrating a sustainable approach to the modernization of education and building equal access to quality resources for all students in their territories.

Thanks to donors and municipalities, in the 2025/2026 school year, every school in Bulgaria will be able to use two of the subscription programs of the "Buki" platform free of charge. In addition, every teacher with a profile on the platform will have free access to eight basic programs, regardless of whether the school where they teach has a subscription. These programs include materials for a class hour for primary, secondary, and high school stages, as well as programs for basic computer literacy for the primary stage and for the development of social-emotional skills for students from first to fourth grade.

The "Telerik Academy" Foundation aims with the "Buki" platform to raise the average level of digital and work skills of Bulgarian students and teachers. In the 2025/2026 school year, interest in "Buki" continues to grow. Over four hundred schools from over one hundred and fifty settlements have already expressed their desire to use the platform. This represents nearly twenty percent of all schools in the country, even though the platform is only in its second year of development. This fact underlines the importance of supporting the modernization of the learning process and ensuring equal access to quality educational resources for all students.
