Minister of Economy, Investments and Industry Alexander Pulev held a series of working meetings with representatives of employer organizations dedicated to optimizing the business environment. The main focus of the discussions was on specific steps to reduce the administrative burden, the press center of the Ministry of Economy, Investments and Industry reported.

During the discussions, Alexander Pulev emphasized that a leading commitment of the cabinet is to establish a higher-quality dialogue with businesses and to build a predictable environment for development. He highlighted the need for feedback, through which the practical proposals of entrepreneurs could be transformed into workable legislative solutions. According to the minister, reform must not remain merely on paper but should focus on real results, with consolidated proposals to be submitted to the National Assembly in the coming weeks.

Employer organizations presented their views on the optimization of administrative services, focusing on the following key areas:

  • Shortening administrative deadlines and limiting the required documentation;
  • Large-scale electronization of services and digitalization of work processes;
  • Introduction of "one-stop shop" service and the elimination of the need for physical visits to administrative buildings;
  • Achieving better interoperability between state registries.

Among the innovative approaches discussed is the application of the "silent consent" principle, which aims to limit delays. Minister Pulev proposed that his department be used as a pilot platform for the implementation of this mechanism. The process of preparing the reform is consistent and involves coordination with numerous state institutions, regulatory bodies, and agencies.

Media outlets recall that a month ago, the Deputy Prime Minister held a similar meeting, during which proposals were collected from 16 ministries and 26 administrative structures. The data indicate great interest in digitalization (102 proposals) and the concept of one-time data collection (101 proposals). Pulev concluded that the ultimate goal is for the state to become a partner and driver of economic growth, with the success of the reform to be measured not by the number of documents, but by the real effect for businesses and citizens.
