Inspectors will check all central warehouses of retail chains, starting today, agriculture and food minister Plamen Abrovski said. He spoke to journalists after three inspection bodies carried out a joint check at a Lidl warehouse near the village of Ravno Pole in Sofia province.

Yesterday, the Bulgarian Food Safety Agency (BFSA), the Consumer Protection Commission (CPC) and the National Revenue Agency (NRA) said they would check the warehouses of big chains across Bulgaria. They said the aim is to protect consumers and make sure goods on the market are sold fairly.
