With over thirty years of creative experience and life split between Bulgaria and the United States, writer Vantseti Vasilev is an author with a remarkably rich literary background. His work focuses on the intersection of cultures and the profound human experiences that bridge distant worlds. The life journey of Vantseti Vasilev (born on June 16, 1945, in Radomir) has been marked by numerous professional challenges since he moved to New York at the end of 1989. Before establishing his career as a chemist at the Bureau of Water Supply Investigations for the New York City Department of Environmental Protection in 1993, he held a variety of jobs, including taxi driver, construction worker, painter, night watchman, and truck engine distributor. Alongside these roles, he continued to develop his creative talent: as early as 1991, he published "Seeds of Fear" through "Open Society," and later became a member of the editorial board of Cross Cultural Communications in New York.

His bibliography has continued to grow over the years with works such as "Trains to Rome" (2006), which was presented at the Frankfurt Book Fair in 2009 in a translation by Wilhelmina Welsh. In 2011, he published "Stories from the New York Library," and two years later, "Packing the Wind: In the Footsteps of Christo and Jeanne-Claude" was released—a work born from his encounters with the iconic artists in New York in the early 1990s. In his homeland, Vasilev has gained recognition through publications in LiterNet, the "Cultural Palette" almanac, "More" magazine, "Literary Newspaper," and "Pro&Anti" newspaper. His activity also extends to the field of translation; in 2019, together with Bisera Videnova, he translated "Cloak Liquid as Time" by Cyril Christo, and in the same year, he became a member of the League of Bulgarian Writers in the USA and the World.

The author's international renown is also built on his participation in literary forums in Swansea, Wales (2011) and Binghamton, New York (2012), as well as through a series of readings at the prestigious Yale Club in Manhattan, held in April, June, and October of 2018.
