A group of students from the High School "Hristo Botev" in Aytos conducted a large-scale study of museum exhibitions along the Black Sea coast, as part of an educational project to preserve local historical memory.

Young researchers from "Hristo Botev" Secondary School in Aytos carried out a large-scale educational journey, covering the museum complexes of Nessebar, Pomorie, and Sozopol. The initiative was implemented within the framework of a major project "My Homeland in Family Memories", whose main goal is to familiarize with the regional historical panorama.

At the "Ancient Nessebar" Museum, the students thoroughly explored a rich exhibition presenting the cultural heritage of ancient Mesambria. The collection included impressive artifacts - stone anchors, Thracian household items, elegant gold jewelry created in local jewelry workshops, marble reliefs, and various ceramic vessels.

The Icon Hall aroused special interest, where unique examples of Christian fine art created by local zographers and adorning the former city temples were exhibited. The young local historians had the opportunity to trace the evolution of artistic heritage through meticulously presented exhibits.

The Pomorie Historical Museum revealed a multi-layered exhibition to the students, covering archaeological, ethnographic, and historical collections. They immersed themselves in the atmosphere of a traditional Anhialo house from the late 19th and early 20th centuries, traced the influence of the Balkan War in a regional context, and familiarized themselves with the photographic documentation of past eras.

In the Archaeological Museum of Sozopol, the students touched an exceptionally rich collection of ancient Greek artifacts. The exhibition presented the most complete collection of ancient Greek vases in Bulgaria, covering the period from the 7th to 3rd centuries BC. The collections of ancient and medieval amphoras, stone anchors, and lead stocks were remarkable.

Special attention was paid to the history of ancient Apollonia, founded in 610 BC. The students traced the development of urban culture, funeral customs, and ancient Greek ceramics through masterfully arranged exhibition spaces.

The project, implemented jointly between "Hristo Botev" Secondary School and the Regional Historical Museum - Burgas, includes a large-scale collection activity. Led by Tatyana Baykusheva and Nikolay Dimitrov, it engages students in active research of local history, documenting memories, legends, and traditions.

The "Chernomorski Far" newspaper supports the initiative as a media partner, publishing the most interesting discoveries of the young researchers. The project not only preserves historical memory but also motivates the younger generation to get to know their roots.
