Presentation of a School Newspaper on Architecture for Children

Private primary school "Celestin Freinet" invites you to the presentation of the latest issue of the school newspaper "Journal de Freinet", an edition that this year is dedicated to a significant topic - "10 years of architecture for children in Burgas".

The event, which is expected to attract the attention of parents, teachers and curious citizens, will be opened in the heart of autumn.

The date chosen for the presentation is October 15, 2025. The time is set for 10:30 am. In the morning, when the school library will open its doors to all those wishing to be part of this momentous meeting. The choice of place is not accidental – the library of the CPO "Celestin Freinet" will be a gracious host of the event, which marks two important anniversaries.

The presentation of the new issue of the newspaper marks a double celebration. First, it is dedicated to the 10th anniversary of the school itself, which over the years has established itself as a center for innovative education. Second, the edition marks ten years since the introduction of a pioneering subject for the Bulgarian educational system – "Architecture for children". This training model, introduced a decade ago, represents a bold experiment that successfully combines art, science and civic education.

The "Architecture for Children" program aims to introduce students to the complex world of architecture, helping them to understand the connection between man and his environment. The training is aimed at developing spatial thinking, promoting aesthetic sensitivity and forming an understanding of sustainable urban development.

Architecture training is built on the principles of multidisciplinary and project-based learning. This approach encourages the active participation of children in the processes of exploration, creation and cooperation. As a result of this long-term pedagogical experience, students form a conscious attitude towards the urban environment and develop critical and creative thinking skills that are valuable for their future.
