Burgas Opera is once again opening its doors to classical music lovers with a concert that promises an unforgettable experience. The event, scheduled for November 20, Thursday, at 7:00 PM, in the hall of the State Opera - Burgas, will offer the audience a rich and diverse program, selected with taste and professionalism.
Under the baton of the distinguished conductor Prof. Dr. Grigor Palikarov, music is about to be performed that will delight both connoisseurs and all those who appreciate high performing mastery. Maestro Palikarov, whose creative biography includes many leading roles in the Bulgarian musical circles, will conduct the Symphony Concert. The audience is eagerly awaiting his mastery, after the same conductor stood at the conductor's desk weeks ago at the gala concert of the laureates of the International Opera Singers Competition. Even earlier, Maestro Palikarov conducted three of the impressive opera performances within the framework of the festival "Opera of the Sanctuary".
There is tension in the hall, awaiting the performance. The concert will feature the remarkable Prof. Dr. Borislava Taneva as a soloist with the orchestra. Professor Taneva, a renowned pianist, chamber performer, and composer, is the winner of numerous prestigious awards from international competitions.
The air is filled with anticipation as the program reveals masterpieces from the classical music treasury. The concert will begin with the Overture to the opera "The Barber of Seville" by Gioachino Rossini, a musical work that has gained worldwide fame. This will be followed by Concerto for Piano and Orchestra No. 12, K. 414 by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. Created in late 1782, the concerto is an embodiment of the classical style, combined with brilliant technique. With his works, Mozart achieved fame and wealth in Vienna. In a letter to his father from December 1782, he shares his creative views on these concerts: "They are a golden mean between too heavy and too light. They are brilliant, pleasant to the ear and natural, without being bland. There are parts here and there from which only connoisseurs can derive satisfaction, but these passages are written in such a way that the less educated cannot help but be satisfied, although without knowing why." The program will conclude with Symphony No. 4 "Italian", Op. 90 by Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy. Composed after an inspiring journey in Italy, the symphony recreates the joy and light of this country.
Tickets for the concert can be purchased from the Opera box office, as well as through online platforms.
